终南望余雪 祖咏 

终南阴岭秀，积雪浮云端。 

林表明霁色，城中增暮寒。 

这首诗可能大家不太熟悉，那么今天就跟我一起学习下吧。 

终南: 是一座山名，位于陕西南面，a mountain in South Shaanxi province

霁色： 雨后的阳光，明媚艳丽（bright and gorgeous）

 林表：林梢

终南山背阴（北面）的那一面好秀丽啊，

峰顶上的积雪似浮在云端。

雪后初晴，夕阳洒落林表，一片光亮，

天色将暮，城中寒气剧增。

积雪（snow mantle）,云端（above clouds）霁色(bright )

译文：

Viewing snow atop Zhongnan mountain

The mountainside against the sun is attractive;

Snow, covering the mountaintop, floats above clouds.

the forest，dyed in setting sun, is bright;

Intensified chill permeates the downtown.

许渊冲前辈的译文如下：

Snow atop the Southern Mountain

 How fair the gloomy mountainside!

Snow-crowned peaks float above the cloud.

The forest’s bright in sunset dyed.

With evening cold the town’s overflowed.

许老的翻译对仗工整，而且押韵，用词传神。实乃佳作。值得细品。
